Foldable beds are also known as Murphy beds in regions of North America. It can also be called as a wall bed or a pull down bed. Some people call it as fold down bed too. This is a type of bed that is hinged to the wall at one end in order to store the bed vertically against a wall. These beds can also be hidden inside a closet or a cabinet. The bed can be used when needed and can be stored away behind the wall or a closet. The major advantage of this type of beds is saving space that can be used for other purposes when the bed is not used. These beds are popular in the regions where the floor space is limited. They can also be used in mobile homes. A number of college dormitories used this style of bedding in order to accommodate a number of students. The other purposes for which the beds can be used are for storage spaces, lighting and also as the components for an office. The bed lost its popularity in between and is becoming popular again.
Electric forklift repair work on batteries that need to be charged on a regular basis. Without enough power, the battery will die and the forklift cannot be operated. In case of power pallet trucks an electric motor is placed inside the machine which is then used to perform the operations like lifting the loads of goods and also handling the movement of the truck. In this type of truck, there is a control area that uses a paddle with which the forward and the backward movement of the fork can be controlled. The forks are the parts that are responsible for carrying and moving loads from one place to the other. These types of trucks operate the best when the surface they are used in is smooth and flat. These are ideal for the instances where work is to be done indoors though they can also be operated outdoors. They are suitable only for dry surfaces and well paved areas. When the forklift is used under extremely hot situations, the internal components of the forklift like the batteries and the other parts may wear faster than normal. Hydraulic oil that is used also accumulates harmful substances that need to be cleaned regularly.
Leggings are one of those things that you think you either love or hate, and then you someone looking good, or awful in them and you change your views 100%. I always thought Rudolf Nureyev looked good in leggings, but then he was a ballet dancer sans compare!
Leggings and pop socks seemed to be around a lot in my youth, and then slip from view. They didn’t actually die out completely, but sort of went into hibernation for a bit until someone came up with a fashionable way to match them with other clothes. But leggings have been making (a relatively low-key) re-appearance on the runways over the last few seasons and now they’re back with a vengeance. Not only are the high-fashion types and urban fashionistas sporting them, but busy football mums and office executives seem to have embraced them.
As an accessory, leggings are very versatile, which is part of their appeal. They’re available in solid colours for everyday wear as well as patterned and textured designs for special occasions such as parties and weekends.
Let’s start with a definition and then a hint of history. Leggings are a form of skin-tight garment that covers the legs. Modern leggings are typically made from a blend of lycra (also known as spandex), nylon, cotton, or a polyester blend, but they can also be made from other materials such as wool and silk and other materials. Leggings are sometimes worn fully exposed, but are more traditionally worn partially covered by a garment such as a skirt, a large baggy t-shirt, or shorts. Leggings are usually ankle-length, and while some finish at the ankle, some have stirrups going under the foot, while others completely encase the foot. They first came to prominence in the flower-power hippy era of the 1960s, when fashionable clothes began to be widely available for the younger generation.
In theory practically any woman can wear leggings as long as they take their individual fashion sense, age and body type into consideration, including wearing it with the right other clothes.
If it’s comfort and leisure you want, then pair with your leggings than a baggy oversize “slouchy” tee. The tee can be cropped, stop at the waist or the top of the thigh. However due to their overly casual appearance when paired together, baggy tees and leggings should be combined with other garments and/or accessories to bring some stability to the ensemble, and show that you’ve not just thrown stuff on as you leapt out of bed! Nice espadrilles or open-toed sandals can do the trick, plus some trainers. But make sure you have some bangles, and flashy jewellery as well. You are not slovenly, just coolly casual (or casually cool).
The tunic is a runaway favourite to pair with leggings. Many women who favour tunics do so because they are usually forgiving to their figure. They’re roomy without appearing shapeless, and when done in fabrics like cotton, silk or polyester, won’t cling to any problem spots. For the best look, a tunic should hit about mid-thigh. Petite women may think that tunics aren’t for them because they cut off at the thigh area, which gives a shorter silhouette. However, if short women opt for a monochromatic look (an outfit in one colour) with their leggings and tunic they will actually appear taller. Tunics are also great with leggings because there are versions available all year round, so you always have an opportunity to wear the look.
Try pairing leggings with jackets, kaftans, blazers and tunics. It may seem a little unnatural to start with but try a few combos in the mirror. You’ll soon see something that has you going “Oh wow!”
Harking back to the swinging sixties, a great way to wear micro mini dresses is to simply have leggings on underneath. This not only provides a nice amount of coverage for a more modest and versatile look, it can hide any flaws in your leg skin tone (such as birth marks or varicose veins) and when done in a monochromatic way it has an amazing slimming effect as well.
The bottom line is that there will be clothes that you can wear with leggings, it’s just a question of experimenting until you find the look that suits you. You’ll soon be saying “leggo of my leggings!” because you want to keep them as a permanent stand-by in your chest of drawers.
As a man who his lived on this planet for near 60 years, I think I can be forgiven for saying that I have seen all sorts of fashions come and go. But one of the ones I have never really seen take off is the hat. I have seen my parents and their friends sporting cloth caps to football matches, and very very occasionally I have seen a trilby or a felt blue fedora at a wedding occasion. And of course there is always the mate who comes back from Bondi Beach with a leather hat with anti-fly corks around the brim. Nice. For like one special day a year- possibly Australia Day. More popular with younger men is the knitted beanie- especially good in colder weather.
So what has been seen recently on the runways at Milan, Paris and London? You’ve guessed it- hats! Oversized hats were common, from Burberry’s brightly coloured buckets to Richard James’ sturdy-brimmed semi-bowler hat. Floppy ladies’ large-brimmed hats also seem to be making a comeback, a century after they first became popular!
Trousers tended to be on the larger size; more billowing and loose than has been seen so far this year. So are wide legs now putting skinnies for men to bed for once and for all? I personally hope so! Any man can look good in wide and loose trousers, but skinnies require someone who is slim and athletic and under 25 if they’re not going to look ridiculous or “mutton dressed as lamb”!
One of the most noticeable common themes was a sporty and casual look for suits. It seems that suits are being split up, with suit trousers being worn with bomber jackets and espadrilles. Suit jackets are being matched with tees and open-necked colourful shirts.
Blues seem to be the most popular men’s colour at the moment. We saw cobalt blues at Burberry, deep aquas at Hackett, and washed indigos at Tom Ford. In fact almost every shade of blue except navy.
Finally there were dressing gowns. Not for bed-time but to be strutted around restaurants and pubs. Design houses McQueen and Topman have been peddling them, and it seems that there is a real chance that the silky, belted smoking-jacket style could have an impact on summer jackets as well as be worn in their own rights.
One has to then consider whether what we’ve seen could all be put together in some mega trendy composition- loose-fitting wide trousers in cobalt blue, deck shoes, a dressing gown cum smoking jacket over a tee shirt, all finished off with a wide-brimmed over-sized hat. That may give one the appearance of some 1920s spiv and have people sniggering as one passes. Or it could attract gasps of admiration from others as they recognise and applaud someone’s determination to stretch out their style into new areas. It’s always risky for the dedicated follower of fashion who leads and hopes others will follow. Once could turn around with a swish of your dressing gown and a sweep of your hat… To find no-one at all is following your fashion innovation!
This summer has seen Tuxedo Trendiness spread its Tux Tendrils into red carpets and runways across the fashion world. It all started with Angelina Jolie at the BATAs looking so cool and sleek, and then continued with Spider Man actress Emma Stone. Yep, she’s is the latest in a line of stars to borrow from the men’s wardrobe and recently sported a clean-cut ice-cool, tuxedo-like two piece suit. She was at the UK Radio 1 studios the other morning with her on-screen beau and real-life boyfriend, Andrew Garfield. But no it was not Andrew in the classy Tux… It was Emma. He let the side down a bit by wearing a brown corduroy jacket matched with belted blue jeans and brown loafers. Was he trying to look like a secondary school woodwork teacher? Both stars were there to talk about their new film “The Amazing Spider Man 2” which, in case you hadn’t guessed, is a sequel to the original 2012 blockbuster. So Emma’s spider senses were tingling with her cool outfit, whereas Andrew’s were somewhere else! Emma’s matching trousers finished just above the ankle, something a Tux-touting bloke would never get away with. But it allowed her show off her Christian Louboutin heels. Just a pity it was a radio event and not a TV one so that more people could see the opportunities for lady Tuxers! Emma The completed her class act look with a crisp white shirt and cat eye sunglasses.
So why did La Jolie go for a Tux at the BAFTA’s? It may have been that she was trying to get across a serious message about a woman getting tough in a man’s world. But whatever her sartorial reasoning, she looked ace in her Hedi Slimane at Saint Laurent Tux. Shortly after, no less a lady than Scarlett Johansson followed the trend with a Michael Kors Tux at the Captain America premier in Paris. And the colour of the Tux? Red! Scarlett in scarlet!
Did you know that a tuxedo (American English, also colloquially known as “tux”) otherwise known as a DJ or dinner jacket in Britain is a formal evening suit distinguished primarily by satin or grosgrain facings on the jacket’s lapels and buttons and a similar stripe along the outer seam of the trousers. The suit is typically black or midnight blue depending on choice of wear and commonly worn with a formal shirt, black bow tie and black shiny shoes. They first made an appearance on both sides of the Atlantic towards the end of the 1890’s.
Women first started wearing tuxedos in the 1970s, but it really didn’t take off in any numbers until the 21st century. The current tuxedo trend is all about embracing totally tailored looks, so make sure that all your pieces are well fitted. When looking at how to wear tuxedo trend clothing, I would go for slim cut trousers and fitted blazers. Finally, wear heels. Always. Tuxedos don’t go with sneakers or Dr Martens! Ramp up and Vamp up your basic tuxedo with a killer stiletto heel. When it comes to how to wear the tuxedo trend, a heeled shoe will add a feminine touch and make the tuxedo look much more glamorous.
As for colours, well, that depends on the event guess. At a “black tie” event, then wear black or charcoal. If it’s a more fun event, or you are on the red carpet, then just choose your fave colour!
If there was one city in the world that is synonymous with style and elegance then it has to be Paris. Yes London has made its mark on the fashion world for being a forward thinking and expressive place where all fashion styles are embraced and enjoyed, but it is Paris where we look to for couture and luxurious outfits.
What better place to look in the approaching fashion weeks than the front rows of the catwalks. In Paris these seats demand as much couture style as the catwalks themselves do. The great thing about fashion week is that it turns a city’s streets into an everyday catwalk, where people are out to impress with their most stylish outfits and street stylists are constantly on patrol.
But for all the high fashion couture on the streets of Paris, we have spotted some of the most eye-catching yet affordable looks that any of us will be capable of copying, granted probably with a little less elegance and style compared to your average French woman. From fashion wildcards such as vibrant sneakers to shirtdresses, here is a look at some on trend looks that we have stolen straight from the streets of Paris.
If you are after a staple dress for your wardrobe that is ideal for a variety of occasions then look no further than the shirtdress. It is a slightly more feminine take on the boyfriend trend and it is ideal for warmer weather and a variety of scenarios from looking stylish in the office to after hour drinks.
Our styling tip is to look for a shirtdress with sharp lines and team it with a pair of heeled ankle boots and a quirky purse. As shirtdresses tend to be relatively straightforward you can use them as an opportunity to show off your accessories.

It is undeniable that the trainer trend has moved on from gyms to the catwalks and to make them a little more accessible for fashionistas, they now come in a variety of eye-catching styles and colours so you can really express yourself and make an outfit through your footwear.
Everyone from the likes of Cara Delevigne to Rihanna are backing this trend and are even wearing trainers that match the crazy prints of their outfits. Talk about casual cool! So be sure you get on this trend that is merging contemporary with athletics, it isn’t only the coolest thing around right now but it will give your feet a welcome break from heels!
More and more we are seeing the development of modern styles and fabrics and now these futuristic “sci-fi” designs are becoming all the more prevalent amongst retailers. We probably have a lot of movies from The Fifth Element to Guardians of the Galaxyto thank for it but it’s not necessarily a bad thing. These clothes range from stylish and minimalist bomber jackets to sports luxe styles that team comfort with high fashion.
Abercrombie and Fitch seem to be having a tough time of it at the minute, once a retail juggernaut the company is now in the midst of a corporate PR-struggle. The company has hit headlines for all the wrong reasons over recent years, with controversies such as the fat-shaming by their boss and cultural and racial prejudices against their own employees. Now Abercrombie has announced it wants to completely rebrand itself and its merchandise. The business that made a name for itself selling A&F emblazoned clothes is now going to be going logo-free (at least in North America to begin with).
This revamp is likely down to the company quickly losing what was once a strong customer base of teenagers, teenagers are also becoming a lot more socially aware and the brand has even developed a bit of a stigma around it, especially considering that it is aimed at teenagers but is worn more by middle-aged men. Add this to the fact that Abercrombie have always been too rigid in their clothing beliefs – not incorporating any black into their range, recycling their own pattern and styles throughout the seasons and having limited sizes for women.
So what will the lack of Abercrombie’s traditional logos and slogans help achieve? Well it has become more apparent that teenagers are becoming a lot more confident in themselves and their styles, where once style was about fitting in and Abercrombie helped young people excel at this, teenagers are now wanting to stand out amongst the crowd.
Unfortunately for Abercrombie, this change in teen behaviour caught them on exactly the wrong side of the trend. Now teenagers who once sought the logo tees are now swapping them in favour for cheaper, unmarked clothing that allows them to show their own personal style and be seen as more of an individual rather than someone who was just seen as wearing Abercrombie.
But Abercrombie isn’t the only company that has been making these changes, the fall of the logo has been hitting other fashion powerhouses such as Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors and Coach, who have all decided to limit their products that use logos.
Will this help Abercrombie turn around there falling sales? The company is definitely seeking to shrink its store footprint after what was a huge expansion across many different countries. It has been reported that the company is planning to close 60 stores this year as their leases expire. It is at least good to see that Abercrombie are willing to change their marketing and merchandise after they so firmly planted themselves in the logo market. Their belief that their initial strong sales would last and this shortsightedness is perhaps their biggest downfall and now they have to move aggressively to new styles.
Another factor they didn’t seem to count on is the fact that other retailers such as H&M, Zara and Forever 21 began to rule the teen market due to their constantly evolving merchandise and lower prices. Only time will tell if these changes will allow Abercrombie to survive in a competitive and forever changing market.
